Australia coordinó, en el período entre sesiones, la labor de desarrollo de un procedimiento de evaluación del cumplimiento, dando así efecto a la firme voluntad expresada por los Miembros en CCAMLR-XXX de hacer avanzar la tarea del Grupo de Elaboración de un Procedimiento de Evaluación del Cumplimiento. Australia ha desarrollado un proyecto de medida de conservación que propone un Procedimiento de Evaluación del Cumplimiento (CEP, en sus siglas en inglés) en la CCRVMA, incluido en el anexo A (adjunto). El propósito del CEP de la CCRVMA propuesto es proporcionar un mecanismo formal para la evaluación del cumplimiento de los Miembros con respecto de las medidas de conservación adoptadas por la Comisión.
